That's what I am finding too from NAD. I just want a stand-alone streamer that utilizes BluOS. No complaints about the NODE going into my DAC. Just thought maybe there was something better out there. .......

First of all...gorgeous looking speaker. Beautiful midrange. I really didn't care for the ribbon tweeter. It's probably me, but, I find it too bright and very directional. Probably many more speakers .......

I compared the Silver 8 to the Silver 6 yesterday. Distinct difference I heard right away. Silver 8 had much more defined bass and very clear midrange. Silver 6 was very congested in the midrange, esp .......

Here's another route you might consider... sell the B&K monoblocks (don't know their age, model, etc.) and get a nice Integrated amp. This way you also eliminate 2 power cables and a couple of interco .......

Terrible solder joints on the ones not "missed". Definitely does not meet any commercial or mil standards. Though using unleaded solder (RoHS Compliant) will produce solder joints that look to be cold .......

I use coax to Bryston DAC. I tried the Toslink and thought it sounded a bit dull. Cymbals lost a little sparkle. I don't believe the USB on the Touch is for output. Think it is only for input device; .......

What you are hearing may be the difference in quality between the DAC's S/PDIF input and its USB input. You may want to try a good USB to S/PDIF convertor from the computer before inputting to the DAC .......

The Dacmagic upsamples all incoming rates to 24/192 automatically. There is no choice or defeating. I was wondering if it would be easier for it to upsample from 24/96 or standard 44.1. .......

$2700 is way too much for a C40. I recently sold my C42 for $1950. I would seriously look into the C46 or C2200, depending if you like the sound of McIntosh SS or tubes. C40 is pretty old technology. .......

I have a 52" XBR5. I believe all the internals (processing, 120Hz, etc.) are the same for XBR4 & XBR5. Bezels are different. Also, XBR5 has an additional input. .......

The crimp on the left looks to be in the proper position. You definitely don't want to crimp close to the terminal. Just make sure your crimp tool is of the proper size for terminal and wire gauge. Th .......

Without a doubt, I would recommend the Sony DVP-S9000ES. This model has been discontinued, but you may be able to find some dealer with new stock. There are a number of used ones going for around $700 .......

I have a VAC Pre-amp that inverts polarity. I switch the speaker leads at the amp. Inverting polarity may or may not make a difference in sound. Many albums (CDs) have inverted polarity, probably 50% .......

I turned off Screen Saver in the menu and wouldn't you know it, cured the problem. Apparently, the screen saver puts the player into a sleep mode, so the first time you push a button it wakes up, then .......
