Perhaps look into a used VDH classic series cartridge, which can be scooped up for about the retail price of the Clearaudio or Grado your looking at and can be retipped by AJ Van Den Hul for a reasona .......

I just purchased a Well Tempered Classic V an am enjoying it quite a bit but I don't understand how to adjust the overhang of the cartridge. The manual seems to imply that I rotate the entire arm asse .......

I recently purchased a Creek T43 tuner and it didn't come with the original AM antenna. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but I am unfamiliar with the antenna connector on this unit. It is just a re .......

I just pull three capacitors from the ouput section of an old NAD 3030. I thought I could find the values I needed locally in NYC but haven't had any luck. The two large ones from the output stage are .......

I just received a troubled NAD 3030 (rather old predecessor to the classic 3020). Through the headphone jack there is a loud buzzing hum independent of the volume or balance. I assume this noise exist .......

Do to recent changes I've been inclined to switch out my system for a simple user-friendly solid state integrated and forego my current tubed setup. The unit will ultimately drive a set of JM Lab 907b .......

Well continued prodding by my peers has convinced me to sacrifice my minidisc setup, and switch to an iPod for portable audio. Besides the glaring hole in my audio rack I no longer have a smooth syste .......

I have been attempting proper cartridge alignment using a variety of paper protractors and have walked through the "Draft of chapter on cartridge alignment" here at the asylum but I don't fully trust .......

Thanks, I was getting some innergrove distortion and wanted to rule the bearings out, I was only concerned because I assume the current cart was mounted while the arm was in place and have heard horro .......

I just picked up a NOS AT safety raiser and I don't think I can get it close enough to the pivot point on my MMF-7 to use it safely. So if anyone is interested in trading me let me know. Express machi .......

The unit was a 1501RC purchased last year; it caught fire twice. The first time it was sent into Jolida and serviced the second time they offered to replace the unit. I have come across one or two sim .......

I owned that unit for a while and mated it with a handful of tables (all MM unfortunately). The phono stage is pleasant and forgiving (not the most resolving) and trounced that of the NAD 7020 I had s .......

I know playing a dirty record can damage the disk but how hard is it on the stylus to play a record that, while visibly very clean has been sitting in storage for a long time and must need a good clea .......
