The power cable and replacing the jumpers with good interconnect made only a small difference, as you might expect, you can't really make up for a system that isn't right, by using better cables... bu .......

I have replaced the stock jumpers with a good Kimber cable silver interconnect, but when I used the separate preamp I used a different Nordost cable so I could try that, thanks for the suggestion. ::: .......

I changed the phono stage to a bettter/warmer one, but I don't think this really fixed it. The solution was a different cartridge. I settled on a Garrott K3 for about AU$250. Nice warm sound. Because .......

You are correct, the DAC in the AE is better than the Toslink alternatives around here (HT receiver). Would like to test it on my Ack Dack/Musical Fidelity amp but the Ack has coax only. AE analog int .......

I wish I didn't have to go this deep into tech specs, but my CD (Musical Fidelity A3CD) overloads my preamp (Musical Fidelity XA-100R integrated, 75WPC)and I can't use the volume control past 8 O'cloc .......

OK I tried lower efficiency speakers, no change. I swapped in a pioneer cd player with lower output voltage, and the range was more usable. Would consider to replace either the CD or amp, but it is no .......

After reading your post I sourced a very similar roll of shelf liner from K-Mart in Sydney. Am using a P3 with Garrott K3 cart. The shelf liner mat changed the sound, made it more accurate, a little b .......

Thanks for the extra tips I find that the bolts supplied are very flimsy, I am using ill-fitting washers for the bolt heads, and the bolts actually seem to bend when tightened in place, so I will try .......

I had the same thing. I love my $50 Tandy/Radio shack turntable with fixed catridge and fixed tracking weight. It sounds great on my system. Unfortunately it is more fun to play than my new P3! ::: TO .......

I agree with your comments on minimum inflation and I try and use as little air as possible. The tube height is 2cm and I would put even less air in it if the valve did not get in the way. As for spee .......

Yes it did tilt a bit. There was latitude under the player (between the legs) to move the tube around so that it now balances. It occasionally does move around a bit and goes out of level, so it is no .......

And I was a big skeptic. I bought a $5, 12 inch innertube and put it under my Musial Fidelity A3CD. I got an immediate result. It sounds much better. The tube is supporting the underside of the case, .......
