Hello, I use an EC8020 interstaged (Magnequest RIT5 airgapped) to 45; outputs are Magnequest ES-050 (airgapped). The EC8020 uses a NiCd battery bias and the 45 uses typical RC bias with a balanced sec .......

Agreed with the other poster, I have never heard a bad 45 SET; the more challenging part is the speakers. Thus far I have tried Lowther Medallions, Altec/Unity and Fertin Field coils... next on the bl .......

Hi, Richard uses the Nikki film capacitors IIRC; not another electrolytic. The 67B has a 10 uF cap but it is in the feedback circuit whereas the 71 has the 10 uF cap in the output; I just don't see an .......

Hey Geo, The Bent Tx-102 use a proprietary OCC long crystal from Neotech.... costs a ton of money but the reduction in crystal boundaries does play an important part in audio reproduction. Seta45 ::: .......

Hi, A CT wound filament transformer provides an A/C balance in the filaments but would not necessarily affect inductive hum. As an alternative to the Tamura, you may want to consider some primary only .......
