Set the DX-5 to large speakers, 0 ft. on any distance setting, which is the defaults listed in the manual. The only level to adjust is the subwoofer to +6dB. After playing around with the various opti .......

Many, many times with solid state for me end up in 12+ hour sessions that I just don't want to leave, though I do agree that poor implementations of solid state tend to be more difficult to do this wi .......

In my opinion, the QB-9 Twenty is a significant step up from the Codex right now. We were able to use circuit designs that we've learned over the past 5 years that we didn't know about when we designe .......

We'll play just about anything at a show, and no, people haven't been knocking on the door demanding royalties for a single song at an audio show. If they had, I imagine we'd all be out there listing .......

You're spot on. Licensing costs mean we need to churn out thousands of units per year for them to make sense (if we could figure out how to get people to buy that many high end Blu-Ray players per yea .......

I'd second Paul's feelings there. There's obvious differences in song selections on each platform, but have felt Qobuz is one of the better streaming services in terms of audio quality, selection asid .......

Not going to pick a side here, but I think most of the contention is the method in which they go about it. Some believe in it, others don't. Some feel that it's an innovation, others call something le .......

Give me a call at Ayre. I can set you up with a loaner Codex in the meantime. USB-wise, you'll be getting a lot of what the DX-5 does in a small package. .......

Part of the issue is the inconsistency in the industry. There's "suggested" ways to list wattage numbers for an amp, but that doesn't mean everyone is following it. If one company quotes 1% at 8 ohms .......

Thanks Ivan. I hope so too. Fortunately, almost every member of Ayre has been with the company a decade or more, so I don't expect much to change except in positive ways. Losing Charley was very hard .......

Sorry for the delay in answering; we've been very busy with the move. As mentioned by Ivan, the call forwarding didn't go as smoothly as hoped. The long story is that we had to change companies as C .......
