Oh yes I remember those Celestions. Had the 3 and 5 and listened to the 7. The 5 always sounded best to my ears, The 3 was a bit bass shy and the 7 had some bass boom. Still listen to the 5 in my shop .......

The various modes are changed manually with a button. Touring mode and the shocks are spongy, exhaust is quiet and shifts are smooth. Toggle into Sport or Track mode and the suspension gets stiffer, s .......

The 4440 is way better than a 140. I have owned both and agree that the 140 fell flat in the power aspect going into a 4 ohm load. 4440 is unflappable. .......

Comparing my Technics 1200G to my favorite source, reel to reel, finds it a closer match than a decent string drive TT with unipivot arm and 3K cartridge. Although maybe not as euphoric and big tone. .......

Yes, the left reel when full will spin fine alone. But when a full reel is hooked up to the right side it starts to slow dramatically when about 60% of the reel is rewound. Put 80% full reel on and it .......

Thanks Guys, Here are results. Tape paths are all clean. It rewinds ok on 10" reels with about 80% fill. Full reels cause the problem. Bearings on dancers spin free. Tension is same with only NAB hubs .......

Having an issue with rewind when using a large reel. It starts out rewinding ok but as the reel fills up it slows and almost stops. Works ok with a 7" reel. Would anyone be able to point me in the dir .......

Has anyone had experience with the Nuprime amps? The STA 9 looks interesting as it can be bridged to monoblocks with high power. Wondering how they might compare to Wyred 4 Sound amps. .......

It sounds like a ground loop issue. You can experiment by lifting the ground on the amp. .......

I have often substituted e80CC for 12au7. It depends on the gear involved. The Phillips gold pin tubes have tubeiness and full body way better than 12au7's, and as an added benefit they are very dynam .......

The resistors likely control the output of the tweeter. If they are not the same for both speakers the output will be unmatched. .......

you could upgrade the caps with the same value. Adding more parts will likely sound worse, generally the fewer components in a crossover the better. Go to Sonicraft and order upgraded caps. ::: TOPIC: .......
