IME, digital room correction helps a lot. My Tact replaced a room full of Roomtunes and Roomlenses, going a long way in the name of family harmony. It isn't a direct replacement for absorbers/ diffuse .......

I'm also a fan of the Analysis Plus Digital Oval in this price range. IMS, from a modded Olive or North Star transport into a Tact, it bettered the XV2 -- great natural detail, and warmer with better .......

I haven't heard the FS-3, but use both the FS-2 and FS-1 in my systems, specifically, the FS-2 (silver-plated copper) on my Talon Khites and the FS-1 (copper) to a pair of RBH subs. They're great buys .......

I had a similar experience...DVD player arrived DOA. Seller wouldn't respond. I had used Paypal credit card and got the same response from them. Sellers could send you anything and Paypal won't pursue .......

Jitter reduction in DACs has gotten better over time, but I think many can still benefit from a good jitter-box. I've owned the Genesis and the Camelot and have heard the Sonic Frontiers in my system. .......

Another vote for jitter boxes. I've used the Genesis Digital Lens, Camelot Dragon, and Assemblage D2D and all have improved the sound into the various DACs I've owned, with no penalties I could hear. .......

The Tact gear is by far the best upgrade I've ever made (good, got that out of the way!). I've used the Tact 2.2x with a Gamut D200 and BC Evo monos, used with its internal DAC and with a Modwrighted .......
