I own a version outfitted with tube rectification. Kevin cleverly built it with a socket that allows you to swap between tube and solid state. To be honest, I first fired it up with tube rectification .......

Not really the input your looking for, but I've noticed more differences between various phono preamps in how they handle surface noise then actual TT's and cartridges. So far for me, Hagerman's Corne .......

I have Luhdahl step ups installed directly into a Cornet Classic and highly recommend them. I believe the Classic has more potential to install them in the same chassis, the inputs are a good distance .......

Take a look at Mapleshade. I'm using a 25' pair of their Golden Parallel, which replaced an 8' run of Kimber 8TC, sounds better to my ears and not too pricey. .......

I use a 25' run of Mapleshade Golden Parallel and I'm happy with it. Sounds as good as or better then previous Kimber 8TC. It's thin and solid core, so it's bendable but needs to be pinned down for ae .......

I have the same experience here, going from a MM Clearaudio Virt. Wood to a MC Zyx Fuji FS. The Fuji is a enthralling with late-night listening of classical and jazz, but doesn't really cut it when it .......

I've got a few extra 1000 watt HID lights I could use. They have switchable ballasts which allow me to run either Metal Halide or High Pressure Sodium lamps. The Metal Halide lamps emit more blue ligh .......

With even a non-warped record I noticed too much down pressure will cause the outside edge of the LP to warp up and no longer make contact with the platter. With a regular "wave" warp, the clamp helps .......

I've got the same thing,(spacedeck/mat 1/michell style clamp), and use it for the same reason (some records slip on the mat). I can't hear the difference between clamping or not unless it's a warped r .......

I've been using a Clearaudio virtuoso wood with my Spacedeck and 12" arm.. it sounds like hi-fi, accurate top to bottom.. but it's a bit dry and cd-like and lacks that certain "magic" I've heard with .......
