I tried the eraser and I think it does remove oxidization better than my previous solution (Q-tip with DeOxit). However, those tonearm pins can shred pieces of the eraser so the pressure will have to .......

Ok. I'll stay with the brass that I have then. Eraser sounds like a good idea! It should have a bit of abrasion to scrub off the oxidization but shouldn't really scrub too hard. .......

I use Audirvana to upsample everything either to 352kHz or 384kHz 32bit or DSD128. It does improve things. Audirvana also allows adjusting the filter it uses for this and it does make a difference. I' .......

I listen almost exclusively to classical music and especially like violin. While my current DAC does other things well, I find the violins too sharp. I have heard better violin tone in similar setups .......

Even from theory, the difference shouldn't be that big. I think the 407/23 is somewhere around 10g and the FR64s is somewhere around 20g. Combined with the ~30g SPU, that difference implies a ~10-15% .......

If that's a TD124 arm board, then that tonearm is Audiocraft AC3000, a 9 inch arm. The AC4000 is the 12 inch version of the same (actually closer to 11 inches). .......

Thanks! I don't have the measurement snow, but I think the room is about 12-14' x 8-10', so very suitable for LS3/5A based on your recommended dimensions. .......

Thanks! Now where can you get them for that money?? At least the earlier Spendors seem to go for about 2-4 times that on eBay. I have no experience yet of Luxman tube gear, but I have a Luxman L507 so .......

Thanks! I have the MC300 heavy wand and all the counterweights, so technically an SPU is possible. But others have said that the 9" Audiocraft is still too light to get the best out of an SPU. Do you .......

Thanks a lot! I agree that most speakers are geared towards electronic music. When you have time, I'm curious to hear what you consider important in speakers for acoustic instruments and what you like .......

Thanks. I have an Audiocraft AC3000 damped unipivot with the medium and high mass arm wands. I'm thinking it would match well with a Grado, but have not seen comments on the combination. .......
