As a proof of concept I mounted an old AT120e onto the stock headshell, no hummmmm. Now to Deoxit, clean, snug up, etc...with my les than optimal eyesight this could take an hour or two! .......

My experience is similar. Been using Stylast for 30+ years and only use the cleaner when the stylus gets dirty. It really depends on how much dirt the line contact stylus picks up. Eventhough I clean .......

My experience is very similar. However 75% of what I play are used. I've found that after 50 records or so it's necessary to use Last 4, the stylus cleaner followed by a few runs through an old Diskwa .......

It may be time to pick up a "real" protractor then. I've been using the download from Vinyl Engine for years. As you have to punch the paper manually it's very possible to get it wrong. On the other h .......

There are other alternatives to the Concord type of setup. Look at LP Gear, Acoustic Sounds, even Amazon. All kinds of cartridges com pre mounted on either fixed or adjustable headshells. .......

Consider the turntable, cartridge, and phono stage separately. The turntable stays, nothing wrong with it. I have it's predecessor the SL-1200 M3. Love it. The cartridge is where I'd make the first ch .......

How about the rigs that have adjustable VTF on the fly. I have the oh so common SL1200 and the tonearm can be adjusted 6mm. You are correct as the majority of documentation does not publish that spec .......

Have you done any mods to the SL1200? If stock there are 3 that greatly improve the performance, Tonearm Rewire, Silicone Fluid Damper, & New Bearing/Thrust Plate. Each is very reasonable and are well .......

Unless of course it is a walnut or mahogony veneer. My personal course of action would be sand to 6oo grit and then 3 or more (how long do you want this ke) coats (sanding and tack ragging in between) .......

I would surmise that it could disolve the adhesive used to secure the needle to the cantilever. Not a very pretty picture. A stylus cleaner needs to be able to disolve the vinyl particulate that accum .......

What's the value of the Klipsch Boron Cartridge? It listed as a LOMC in the Cartridge Database with very little additonal data. The turntable is certinaly worth 200and quite possiably a bit more. ::: .......

If you look at the stylas assembly of a MM cartridge the magnets are on wires attached to the end oc the cantilever aft of the suspension. The ones I'm familiar with are at 45 degrees oppposed to eacy .......
