Your cable is fine. I use the same cable except with my SME 3012R RCR to RCA. No problems here with hum. I have heard about people having problems so placement of the transformer near power supply's o .......

With my Kondo I just leave the switch in the "Balance" position and use the connection of your choice in the rear with your tonearm cable. If you have a grounding problem (hum) than use the "Unbalance .......

I don't know if it can be run balanced, but hum was never an issue for me as long as everything is grounded, as for my interconnects they are nothing speacial, just using a Furutech phono cable with g .......

I have had this one for a year now and I have listened to my friends many times. I my opinion it is the best I have heard in my system. Very rare. Expect to pay close to $5k. .......

I had that same problem with the popping noise when the pump would cycle to push the water for my heating system. It is no longer a problem, as my new amp is not bothered by it. But I have discovered .......

Just being able to scrub the record with a surface underneath it. When I had the AA machine I scrubed it off or the machine then flipped it to vacuum. WIth the VPI everything is done without flipping .......

The wood for the rack is birch ply, nothing special, just done well. Faces are covered in 1/4" ply rounded and stained. I have seen it in natural finish and it looks nice too, but the dark finish adds .......

When I had my SME 30/2 i had a very skilled machinist make me a blank armboard for the SME. I had had it drilled and tapped for the Tri-Planar, nice to get a different perspective from a differnet car .......

I always use the cueing level to bring the arm up and down, and use the side of my index finger to slide it along the cueing arm and set the stylus over the record where ever I want it and let the cue .......

Not the smartest dude if he suspended the deck and left the arm locked ridgedly. If the deck sways and the arm does not go with it you will hear a lot of needle jumping and perhaps even trash the cart .......

I have to say that the SME V on their own SME 30 is an absolute joy to listen too. I have had it on their 20 but prefered the Graham 2.2, but put that SME V on the 30 and it is like a different arm al .......

You canmot adjust azimuth on the fixed headshell SME arm by tilting the pillar. You will FUCK up your arm. Also if you tilt the arm in this manner the arm no longer has a true vertical plane of travel .......
