If you want to stay with B&W, the Nautilus series speakers with diamond tweeters have a smooth response that take away the "tweeter harsh". The Nautilus series is also known for its amazing mid-range. .......

The only thing that I am aware of that has been published in a peer-reviewed journal is the Oohashi. All experiments have their weaknesses. What do you think they should have done better? .......

I agree with all the posts. This is the only study of its kind that is published in a peer review journal so unfortunately, it will require repeating before wide acceptance. Whether it will happen is .......

Brian, Btw, if you know your dealer well, you can always ask your dealer if he has any connections for Sonus Faber dealers. Maybe he/she can get a 805 or Sonus Faber demo sent to his store for you or .......

Hi Brian, Having listened to the 804, you probably have a pretty good idea of the 805. Much of what we think of vocal/instrumental "mid-range" is actually produced by the woofers too, so its probably .......

Why are you considering B&W anyways? Don't get me wrong (I own N802 and love them); I'm just wondering. I just want to remind you that their well-earned "fame" came from the Nautilus line of products .......

Sorry, I don't own Krell & Lexicon, but I have much experience with the N802's. I've driven them with Rotels, Music Fidelity, Pathos, and CJ's. Even though I do appreciate the extra bass from some am .......
