twystd consider yourself a lucky man my bearing from Jim from a machining perspective was pretty crude looking . He may have a alot of followers but the workmanship is really bad I can only speak for .......

Well I finally got my bearing back from Colby and he sent me the original bushings that Jim had put in if you take a look at the bushings you would be sadly disappointed work of a kindergartner this i .......

I'm currently using Automobile Transmisson fluid for my bearing however wanted to use something that would introduce more drag perhaps a bit heavier oil ..any recommendations .......

I have to personally thank Colby for taking the time to figure this out for me . I'm very surprised on the condition of the bearing. I will leave this open for others to chime in .......

Does anyone know what are the symptoms if the bushing pushed down to far in the bearing. My bearing is now making all kinds of chatter when platter spins. could this be a symptom of a bent spindle it .......

is it easier to fix my issue if the bushings have been pushed further down would that cause the platter to chatter when it spins .......

my bearing has the ability to raise up and i did that the issue I have is I inserted a second platter and it was a tight fit so I may have forced it now I may be thinking I pushed the bushings down t .......

its a lenco and the issue is the platter rubs against the edge .i need someone to take a look at the bearing and let me know why its not working as intended .......

Thanks Since the first stage is the most critical I think placing a TFTF cap Would make the most sense and be the least damaging to the sound does that makes sense Is the sound of the Audiocap Theta .......

Not sure about the dyanvector settings I thought with the dynavector mc setting are needed ..i'm sure others can confirm if this is accurate I do think changing tubes.. perhaps going with amperex 692 .......

I'm a tt weights user as well I have his copper mat and clamp and now looking at getting his peripheral ring when funds permit Excellent products and Larry is first rate .......

I have the bronze and wouldn't describe as hollow and thin sounding I think it's a very detailed cartridge with pretty good PRAT Different strokes for different folks I guess .......

I could be wrong but that topplate would not work on my existing plinth The design is very different as the bearing is isolated unlike a big sandwich plinth like mine where the bearing/moter hangs Tak .......

I think my transformers in my amps give off a slight hum I currently have wieghts on the transformers but worried about magnetic resonance I could easily get some lead or brass and place it on my amps .......

The 6dj8 are from amperex holland made a frame I'm trying to pair this tube with a 12au7 variant i'm thinking the clear tops in my setup may be too much detail and the black plates may be a better cho .......

Check out blue circle, the bc 24 would fit the bill nicely Another good one is the Music Reference 9 Both are amazing with the Trentes .......

When building absorbtion panels is it sonically bad to screw the insulation to the framing to keep it in place Can I than leave the back open Or is it best to cover it with some form of batting Answer .......

I had the Audio Note Lexus cable biwired with my Trentes I have since made a speaker change and the Audio Note have been replaced with Gregg's Straleys reality cables I'm very happy with the change Ho .......

I've had Trentes To me the best mate were the blue circle amps or the Manley gear I tend to agree with the previous post the unico would be too warm for the Trente to sound it's best .......
