I did this with everything, even power cables. I had only one plug that I didn't hardwire, it was to the wall outlet so I was able to shut off the system! Also, all my fuses were removed and replaced .......

With FI-48 there is more transparency, but it's flat on the surface. There is no depth. FI-50 sounded dark and deep, but not as smooth and transparent. FI-48 reminds me of silver plated Nordost Valhal .......

That cable is $1 retail price and doesn't have plasticine. It has wood. Plasticine is something soft that doesn't dry when exposed to air, and it melts when exposed to heat, I don't know why you thin .......

I tried the rings around Furutech FI-11 Cu. I got the same round and mechanical transients as from FI-50, but it was darker and more laid-back. It fits perfectly with my new Darth Vader Power cable! : .......

I love Rhodium plated sound signature, I use the Furutech FP-201 (R) speaker plugs. They are silky smooth. I'm sure it's the heavy metal shell that's the problem. I can almost use them as dumbells for .......

Stranded gives the illusion of richness, but this is really distortion. The thinner the stranded wires are the edgier it sounds like, but when adding more of those thin wires the bass size is increase .......

I put the crystals inside a waterhose with rectangular copper inside, I got great results. The sound is better than anything from Virtual Dynamics and Acoustic Revive. But the correct formula is hard .......

Sometimes a jittery cable gives better synergy because of edgy detail, like if the system is too muddy. My stock Valhalla cables were too fat and muddy so I preferred Toslink over Valhalla digital bec .......

It depends on how you like the music to sound. It you want it to sound neutral you NEED good cables. If you want it to sound colored and "romantic" you can use cheap and muddy cables... There's nothin .......

Get a PS Audio Power Plant before getting better power cords. The whole system should be wired with the same cable to give the best synergy. Mixing power cords didn't work well in my system. ::: TOPIC .......

Power cords and speaker cables are the most important. The interconnect can be used as a tone control if the source is too harsh. Using upsampling makes it much smoother but it only functions correctl .......

In a revealing system even 512 kHz resolution sounds too harsh. But 700+ sounds acceptable. My CD player has 768 kHz upsampling and it's barely smooth enough with Valhalla cabling. 96 kHz + Mullard CV .......
