For a 6EJ7 or similar, what is the best connection for the internal shield: pin 6? Connect to power supply ground or to chassis ground (Earth)? Or connect to something else? Yes, i have a small resis .......

Can you speak a little more about the needed load resistance when running without the cathode bypass cap? Without this cap would I need a transformer with more resistance or less resistance? I'm aski .......

TK, can you comment on the idea of removing the power tube cathode bypass cap? And would the resulting local NF from the cathode resistor(s) tame some of the power tube's intermodulation distortion? .......

Very good. I measured NF at three different frequencies because I don't know how accurate my multimeter is at the midrange frequencies I'm getting the following NF: 60hz 6db 500hz 9.5db 1000hz 11.5db .......

Ok, I'll leave the negative feedback there. I do have enough gain using a 3k3 resistor (and 330pf) for the neg feedback loop. Not sure how much Nf I need, or how to calculate, but based on volume it s .......

Yes! I already changed out my signal coupling caps (C7-C10) with Mundorf Silver/Oils last week... I liked the sound initially, but now I am in that 300-hour burn-in and they are pretty bright. I think .......

Yes, of course!! I won't know fur sure until I solder them in! :) However, I'm worried about damaging my board if i'm constantly changing capacitors... thought it would be nice to get some opinions he .......

RGA- I think that I may have read somewhere that you had the original de capo. The De Capo that I tried is the newer i-version. People seem to think that these are much brighter than the original de c .......

From the rear half of the room- the Ks don't seem as open or airy as the De Capos or my old 1988 Infinity SM 120s. But while sitting at my desk toward the front of the room (closest to the speaker)- .......

I went with a 65hz Butterworth slope... (-3db @ 65hz) works good with my speakers that begin to seriously roll off around 75Hz. I have my titan Xovers set to 60 and 65 hz... anything higher than that .......

I contemplated this when I purchased my ACI Titan 2. I ended up going with a pair of Marchand XM46 crossovers. At 24db/octave and no phase change they provide far better integration between mains and .......

A few things have happened in the last three weeks. I recieved the De Capos and found them to be bright and thin... a couple hundred hours of break-in did improve the sound. I found them to sound less .......

On my system, in my house, to my ears, the De Capos are the brightest, thinist sounding speakers that I have ever heard. They push the vocals and soloists, with vocals having a distinct lisp ssssssoun .......
