It has the Soundsmith MCC-4 elliptical and I purchased a spare from SS. That said, a The Vessel A3SE cartridge is half the cost of the RX-2 cart and sounds better. I'd go with one of those for the Flu .......

The MCA heavy is not a favorite. The 150 Classic is better balanced with a wider, deeper sound stage and pinpoint imaging. Presence also is up a notch. I have heard, but never owned, the original UK T .......

I buggered the cantilever on a brand new audio Technica OC9/MLII MC cart, but I got lucky. For some unknown reason, AT replaced it free of charge after I called them. I wish that was my only cartridge .......

I used a "Skate Plate" grooveless LP to level the deck/arm. Fortunately, the TT came on a dedicated floor stand with micrometer adjustment at the top of the 3 pillars. .......

Might consider trying to find the 300 rpm motor upgrade. I found it to be much quieter than the stock 600 rpm motor. Of course the larger pulley must come with it. That and the SDS, which lowers volta .......

I moved the frame grid JJ 12AX7s from the PH14 to the new kid. Quite similar sound, but this one is quieter. Its MM/MC with SUTs onboard. Not bad for 335 clams. .......
