I would agree that the SC-V is a better speaker than the SC-IV (I own the SC-IV Signatures), but only if the listening room is sufficiently large enough to support the SC-V's. If not, the SC-IV's will .......

Single ended triode amplifiers have a certain "directness" of sound to them. They are able to grab you and pull you in.....connect you to the music in a very special way. The music seems to be so pure .......

I didn't expect the SET40 to be on the same level as the Komuro. If I remember correctly, the Komuro sold for about 4 times the price as the Bel Canto, so I would hope that it would be in another leag .......

The Wavelength Cardinals X1's are single ended directly heated 300B amps using AC and are whisper quiet. My Bel Canto's are 845 single ended triodes and are absolutely quit as well, although Dc heated .......

I have a Artemis Labs PH1 phono stage that I'd like to do some tube rolling. 1st stage is 6N1P, 2nd stage is 12ax7, and third stage is 5687. I've noticeable differences in 2 stage, but have not tried .......

As far as I now, the 6N1P's are only Russian. I just bought some old stock rebranded at Sovtek through Jim Mcshane (sponser of the asylum)along with several other tube types. Great guy, great selectio .......

I've been using the Linn LP12 with the Naim ARO for years. Mine is modified with the Pink Triangle DC motor switched to the 7:30 position and battery power supply. It is amazingly musical and enjoyabl .......
