Since magnepans radiate sound in both directions its possible that your speakers are in phase, but the backwave (out of phase) is messing it up. Try playing around with speaker positioning and dampeni .......

Magnepan does not consider the MG12 and upgrade for some reason. If you were to go to them MG12 you would have the send the MMG back within the first 60 days. Cheers, Nick .......

I use the MG12's in a 10x12 room and they sound great. I found adding MYE stands greatly increased thier sound quality. The MMG are good but you migh feel the need to upgrade. I would personally jump .......

Well one of the things to the anticable which make them special, IS the lack of shielding. They say air is best dielectric next to a vacuum. So you could wrap them, but you don't need to. Also the cab .......

Bananas will allow for easier time connection equipment than a spade will. But generally speaking spades offer better connection. I think by the time you consider the maggies would get a better connec .......

The bare wire would be the best connection at first. But over time the copper will oxidize making the spade a better connection. I would recommend using a spade or banana. Cheers, Nick .......

I also second the anti-cables. Don't worry abot the coating, it does not come off. They come pre-terminated with spades, but you can get bananas for a slight upcharge. I use one side of the spade in m .......

Honestly, I would have to say no. But.. There are a few things that the my stands do that your do not. - They are spiked - The mye stands have strus which grab the speaker and make it MUCH more stable .......

Yes, I do remember noticing differences. As I recall it made the mids and highs sound a bit clearer and less veiled. And things all became a little more open. I will not say that it made a huge differ .......

You might be able to get away with it with some heavy room treatments. I have a 10 x 12 room with my MG12's. I HAD TO build traps for it. I made: 2 corner bass traps behind. 2 panels behind the speake .......

I think another difference between the MG12 and the MMG is the quality of the wood surround casing. As I recall the MG12 is a lot more ridged. Magnepan has always had crappy xovers. I wish they would .......
