Try this: go to (choose your player) Player Settings / Audio / Digital Volume Control and choose : "Digital output level is fixed", then hit the Change button. (Also, check for Bit rate = no limit) :: .......

At least on the SACD, the liner notes are very clear in that they were looking for that overprocessed sound. You can dislike it of course, but thats was the intention, they were not trying to get "tru .......

Yesterday I checked on my player and when you use the bass management or speaker config you cant avoid using the surround speakers on multichannel, so you can folddown the center to the fronts and for .......

mmmm ... will have to check that out... I remember my C555ES manual saying clearly "on the stereo outputs you get the same as left Front and Right front as the multichannel output when you are playing .......

Maybe you are using the Bass Management inside the player? I have not toyed with it on my C555ES, but maybe you can tell the player to default to multichannel, and then tell it you dont have SW,Center .......

My guess? If they could have remixed the STEREO version, every PF purist fan would be yelling and screaming that they didnt respect the original mix, and this and that... I havent heard the SACD yet, .......

Ok, they dont own the rights to the CD license... so they will end up paying Sony and Philips again for that license... and that was one of the main points to develop DVD-A, no licensing fee to be pai .......
