Seeing that several years ago I came up with a design of silver cables and sold OTA cable which I had made here for less then you could buy another manufactures for a fraction of the price I was think .......

I agree! I would think that any Processor with USB Inputs would just read the CD Data and that wold be it. JVC and other Receiver manufactures sate they have USB hook up. There are DAC's which also I .......

Does this Dac allow you to adjust the output Gain? The reason I ask is If I decide to go to a Passive Controller then I would need to change the output Resistors. Most Dac's do not have enough Gain wh .......

I think the original questioner or even in my questioning of these Cl.D units is that the parts cost for one is not much as compared to picking a Quality Class A unit which is made up of some more exp .......

The reason for DVDP's not being good at Redbook playback is the MP3 conversion chips they use for the Nasterclock. That was stated by S-Phile's Mr.Atkinson. I believe it as I still use an old Phillips .......

The best ARC Pre's are the SP-9MkII's and the SP-14's which are seen on A-Gon once in awhile. The best setup I ever heard with my particular speakers was an ARC and Mark Lev Amp and I have seriously c .......

It depends also what digital source you use. It takes my setup 20mins to get out of the cold sound. My other SS state amps took about the same time. Right now I am using a Panny 45 and Phillips CD-80 .......

Can be many things. I think amps can make things sound dark. Try an Adcom Amp compared to a B&K and you will get a different presentation. Cables,speakers(Drivers\Type of Design\XO\Wiring),CDP's,Phono .......

I had the same Preamp several years ago and changed it to use a Passive.I also had to get a DAC with a higher output,but the change was well worth it as it took a veiling away and increase the soundst .......

Experiment to see weather there are distinct differences. Remember the connectors are as important as the wires you use. I tested multiple designs and connectors to see which worked best. Good luck! .......

Change the output resistors to the ART DIO to a value of 6Volts and use a Passive as that is the most value you will get for the money. I did that last year with virtually the same setup and it worked .......

Well to be neutral it does. If it has a signature then it cannot be neutral. That is why using a Passive is best for design. It should only pass a signal and not add or subtract from what is being pas .......

For cables you want the lowest Capacitance cables you can afford. I would look into the FT Audio LW-1 and buy the Remote as an add-on. It has been better than alot of Passive foing for a lot more. Goo .......

Using a Panny 45 with a Panny DVD F65 I liked the Toslink over a Belden COAX. I would use Toslink. Regular IC's does not give as good of playback for CDP's I think. Good luck! .......

I own NEARs which are the predecessors to Bozaks I think as the designers use to work for Bozak. The original drivers had the same suckout signature as the B&W's. .......

It should work fine as there are a bunch of other people using various versions with 4ohm specs. My speakers are 5 nominal ohms and they work fine with a 45 unit. Yo umight want to ask weather anyone .......

I've tried Ag Plated Cu and it was very bright. It is better to use regular Ag cable I found. There is one Co. I read about that was able to successfully use Plated Wires. It's just as good to use Cu .......

Happpened to me last year using oversized Cardas lugs. You probably burned a channel up unless the fuses kicked in. Even then you might have smoked a channel for good! good luck! .......

I have used a Hot Glue Gun on the inside ,arounf the wires after soldering ,then placed HS over that and it works good. Hot Glue gun's can be found in Dollar stores adn buy the ones with the small noz .......

Try different gauges and different configurations to find what works best with the wire you are using. I have found that 20AWG Ag works best and with certain Some Coppers you can use 26AWG up to 15ft. .......

The Magnet Wire seems like a plausible Idea as I use Solid Core OTA type of wire which works relativly the same.I also use Toslink with the Panny for digital. Single Solid Core Cable seems to deliver .......

I have to agree that it is better to use an outboard DAC,no matter what it might be, mated with a good transport rather than buy an extremely expensive CDP. OTOH it might be worth getting something li .......

I cannot see the need for such Power extremes. Some amps perform better than others with lower ratings. The gain you get from power increases are not going to br significant after a certain number unl .......
