I have not had any miss-tracking issues with treated LP's using either an Ortofon 2M blue or a MoFi Studio tracker cartridge. Now if you want to take chances with an inferior cartridge.... ;-) ::: TOP .......

Well, I have the MoFi studio deck and I think it's great! Based on my experience, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Ultra Deck. The Ultra Track cartridge is pretty damn nice as well. .......

Guessing you should be able to get something. Gain for a MM cart is about 40dB so if you've got 60dB that might work. By the way, the output for your Hana is .5mV, not .05mV. Cartridge loading should .......

...one of the first things I did was replace the 2M red with a 2M blue. Made a noticeable difference. I've not heard the Rega Planar 1. I'm sure either would be a good choice for an entry level turnta .......

The part of the scratch that we hear as a pop or tick apparently is intruding into the part of the groove tracked by the stylus. Thus so if we knock off the jagged edge, the scratch should theoretical .......

Lightly sanding the record surface with 1500 grit paper only gets the spaces between the grooves, not the grooves themselves. I've done maybe 1/2 doz albums and each sounds much better. Not always per .......

Using 1500 or 2000 grit wet/dry paper, lightly sand with the grooves, not across. Just be sure and rinse the record well with distilled water when you're done. C'mon! Give it a try. .......

My main concern was to get all of the polishing compound off the record. That's where the vacuum record cleaner comes in real handy. .......

I used 1500 and 2500 grit, plus polishing compound. 1200 grit was used in the video. Oh and make sure it's wet/dry sandpaper and use it wet. .......

Followed directions in the video on an old scratched record and it works!I cleaned the record using my home brew cleaning machine, lightly wet sanded affected areas with 1500 grit wet/dry paper. Clean .......

I do like the carbon fiber brush's ability to control static. Fortunately dust isn't a problem for me. I just make sure LP's don't stay out of their sleeves any longer than necessary. .......

Nothing to be sorry about. Yours and other's suggestions to up the budget makes a lot of sense. Initially I think I'll change direction and go for a better cartridge. My low mass arm limits my choice .......

Currently using an Ortofon 2M Blue. I'd definitely consider the Hana elliptical, Denon 103, Audio Technica VM 740 or VM750 SH. Tonearm compatibility is also a factor. .......

If you have a magnifying glass, inspect the surface of the record and see if you can see what's causing the clicks and pops. A single pop usually means there's debris like fly poop that should come of .......

You might have to remove the grill cloth but only in the corners. To remove the female half careful use of a drill will help. Use a bit only slightly larger than the hole in the fitting. The rest can .......

Check with Parts Express. They have a couple of types of grill guides. They may have an exact replacement for yours. Unlikely you'll have much success with glue. You could try epoxy for plastic but do .......
