i like and have been using the creative infra cdrom drive as transport to a sonic frontiers assemblage dac for some time now. the sound from the creative transport was far superior to the one from my .......

im a little comfused with the possible setup of some little monoblocks i am making, each monoblock has a sepearte power supply. i am placing the monoblocks close to each speaker to have a minimal spea .......

I have had the pleasure of owning a yamaha ca 810 and 710 over the past year both picked up dirt cheap second hand the yamahas in my opinion are real secret gems, they are built like tanks have beutif .......

A good audio friend of mine also happens to work as a government electrician and air conditioning tech. He has access to an unlimited amount of quality CAT-5 for free, which is indeed a god send He dr .......

once again folks back to a yamaha ca-810 i bought second hand and have been furiously upgrading i just hooked the vu indicators back up after changing the burnt bulbs to leds, i had the speakers disco .......

i used to own (before it died) a yamaha CA-710 amplifier, it was a great amplfier and i modded it to hell, i put an iec socket on it with a decent diy power cord, re did the internals with magnet wir .......

24/96 would only be usefull if u are replaying on the computer itself or in a dvd / transpot that can handle it. 24/96 is pretty much extinct as a high end format and u would most likely get better qu .......

dual glass platter ? it was the simplest way of adding those 4 steel weights, so i could vastly increase the outer rotating inertia yes glass doeas have a resonance but in this layout it is suprisingl .......

Ive been reading alot about the chord dac 64, and how most of its (yet to be heard) amazing so9und could be attributed to its ram buffer effectively eliminating jitter could this be applied to our wel .......

hehe its analogue ... its cassette !! i have all the albulms on vinyl ... and i find the new echoes recording has just got that typical audiophile cd sound which i rather dislike, a mixed bag indeed . .......

If u play a cd in your computer it will most likely flow through this chain cd drive dacs convert to analogue audio sent through poor quality analogue cable to soundcard then digitaly sampled through .......

the motor by puting 12vac into it the contoller relay/motor regulator board by putting 12vac in turning it on and seeing if you get 12vac out and check your transformer to see if u are getting 12vac f .......

As you proabably know all early digiatal recordings were made on 24 track (im pretty sure) reel to reels with ampex mostly being favoured. they used a variety of dac/adc gear including the soundstream .......

Hello i have recently aquired a Teac X-7 open reel machine for next to nothing. the machine has had close to zero use since its manufacture the heads are immaculate. I had to repair the capstan drive .......
