115 grain FMJ is thought to be the best modern load for the P08 Lugers. I've had no issues at all with my 1940 P08. Ejected brass is very unpredictable though. .......

I have never used Nordost products but know they are very well regarded. I've used an older Oyaide Tunami PC on my vacuum tube integrated amp it clearly improved the sound and IMO is a very good value .......

It is suggested 24 inch stands are the norm depending on your body type and chair. THe tweeters should be at ear level and I found that to be exactly correct in my case. YMMV Good luck! .......

Push Pull EL-84 is not a good match even with KT66s I found you would need to crank them to get reasonable sound. With an MC2505 I find they shine even at a modest level in a living room. .......

If you replace the tweeter and cap along with cleaning the switch they are a darn nice sounding speaker. They would not exactly be Dynaco A25's. I have a pair rebuilt in that manner used with some vin .......

I owned a pair some years back. If your pair is lacking then something is seriously wrong with them. One of the most neutral liner extended amps I owned after a rebuild. They may have lacked some bass .......

I have a rebuilt pair of A25's. Not so sure 20 watts would be enough they will play OK with PP EL84 or PP6V6 but 12 watts is clearly not the best match. I am using mine with a 50 watt McIntosh sounds .......

The PA-913 made by Pilotone mid 1950's is a very flexible preamp. It sounds a bit slow and rolled off. The attraction IMO is cosmetic. They look amazing. The earlier model PA-902's sound great. As an .......

Of all my vintage amps I think this one is the best. For power the bid Duce is king but of all my 6V6 and EL-84 amps I love the Pilot. Thank you so much Mike the pictures and detailed suggestions are .......

Rebuilding my Eico AF-4, the cap directly after the rectifier is 20mF 450V.I want to use a film cap in that position. A 22mF 630v Solen is 40mm or 1.57 inch dia. I have only have 1.125 under the chass .......

I use those Chinese Ebay adapters with my banana speaker cable plugs. The adapters are not prefect you must take care they don’t connect with ground or touch each other on some vintage units. ::: TOPI .......

If your AC service is noisy an AC power conditioner may be helpful, or not. Before you buy an expensive conditioner try turning off computers TV's light dimmers anything that may add noise. Listen car .......

Let me be more clear. I mostly used Russian surplus PIO, I used a couple FT3 Teflon's and a few Vitamin Q's. I used 200 volt FT3's. Thanks for adding Jim's link Neil..... Regards Dan .......
