My experience is the same as yours. I worked with my DF01 from 2005 to the present, unaware until last year, that 180 gram or 200 gram LPs should not be used on it. There is absolutely no problem flat .......

Did you try an enzyme based cleaner (something like Vinylzyme/Bugtussell) at all on the records? It is worth a try, maybe more than once. If this fails, I think they're no good. .......

It's hard to say although I see that most of the posts go with a bad trimming job. Heat damage should be obvious when you inspect the disc as the vinyl would melt and buckle and develop pits. If it's .......

All you need to do is to insert the tube part of a ballpoint pen into the spindle hole and rotate it a few times. This won't 'cut' any part of the spindle hole wall but it will enlarge it sufficiently .......

Maybe if you are collecting predominantly U.S. pressed LPs, the 'sliding' issue may not be as much of a problem as on European or Japanese LPs. The vinyl used in Europe and Japan is of a far 'softer' .......

Shrink wrapping is a major cause of warpage in my experience, although some here will disagree. Great, that your record came back to normal shape so quickly! I think heat damage is terminal for LP rec .......

There would be no question of using heat. I would hope that the pressure exerted on the disc over a long period (1 year maybe?) would do the trick. Vinyl has a 'memory' so over the period it may just .......

True, when I get a used LP the seller, usually in Japan, will always pack the LP outside the sleeve. Good U.K. and U.S. dealers routinely do this too, of course. With new LPs, I never specify this. Ha .......

Why don't you try Vinylzyme (Bugtussell)on the disc? I find that can solve almost any problem save for sheer physical damage. I leave this on the disc for upwards of 20 minutes or more, spinning the d .......

I always clean new LPs too. I use Buggtussel Vinylzyme first up and then I follow with RRL/MoFi Super Vinyl Wash/Vinyl Wash. I am amazed at the improvements Vinylzyme brings about but not just to new .......

I use the Air Tight and it works very well. Some discs can be very difficult, the very thin 70s LPs for instance may require repeated treatments and for some reason Japanese LPs. I have a Japan Promo .......

I have no experience with the Furutech but I have noted that dished LPs come out particularly well and totally flat with the Air Tight Disc Flatter. That surprised me as I would have thought that dish .......

Some Sellers say that when something gets lost in the post, it is usually a packet sent by unregistered SAL. I would strongly recommend that you use Registered SAL which I have found very reliable ind .......

I get LPs regularly from Japan and so far have had no problems. Regular Air Mail reaches me in Ireland in about 4 working days and is reliable. There is also the SAL option which is also air mail but .......

I had a similar problem with the ZZ Top WB/RTI reissue. There was audible surface noise on Tracks 1, 2 and 5 on Side 1. The surface was very slightly scuffed but I put the problem down to 'non-fill'. .......

Agreed. Acoustic Sounds uses oversize boxes to ship LPs which means that the corners of the LP jackets are never under threat from careless handling. I do not usually order from AS though, except mayb .......
