Just put your fingers under the platter and pull upwards whilst someone else gives the center spindle a tap with the blunt end of a fairly big screwdriver. Don't go mad with the tap you shouldn't have .......

Sounds like you might be in need of building a Speed Controller for your 301 it would solve all of your speed issues and give you even more control of the deck. Here's a link to my thread for the one .......

Forgot to say it also handles 60Hz and the voltage to the motor can be adjusted to whatever you fancy.....in the UK I am running mine at about 200V instead of the usual 240V. A couple of pictures for .......

Does anyone know of a good supplier for N21D stylus, I can find plenty of N3D but not N21D and I really need one as my M7 came without any stylus? Thanks in advance for any suggestions .......

Why not veneer it? It really isn't that hard if you buy the veneer with pre glued back. Here's my attempt at building a cabinet for my Fisher 500c, this was the first time I had tried veneering someth .......

I'm really curious as well to hear if there's an improvement....what I do know is that in the UK it doesn't seem possible to buy just the vinyl you have to buy the whole package (CD, HiRez etc) ::: TO .......

Or look for a free measurement program called MB ruler, works really well when over layed on the photos taken with a USB microscope. .......

On my MIDAS it was just a straight push fit, the tolerances are so fine no glueing required. I have to say the MIDAS finishing looks much better than the other body you posted. .......

That's exactly what I do already, but it doesn't answer the fundamental question concerning wether the DL103 has some speacial ability to find fluff on very clean records. .......

That's funny I was only talking about this yesterday, my 103 seems to love picking up stuff as well, but I don't think its the body thats doing it because mine has an aluminuim MIDAS body fitted to it .......

I have to disagree with the above comment about cutting slate,if you look on LencoHeaven plenty of people have cut plinths using angle grinders or even ceramic saws. Drilling holes is also pretty eas .......

Do you mean the Blue Note's with the 304 Park St South addresses on them? I was told by a dealer that these were not legit & mastered from CD's so hence the low price, it does seem odd that there's n .......

I've been to that one & got a nice Chet Baker LP, they check all the vinyl & the people in the store know their stuff so not many bargains to be had. As ever in Oxfam not a huge stock & prices are gen .......

What you are all forgetting is the devaluation of currency, taking EAR anything they buy from Euroland will be 25-30% more expensive than 3 years ago, and it gets worse if any of the components are fr .......

Just regular 18mm Birch Ply, from B&Q (like HomeDepot in UK) they normally will cut up the big sheet size for you for free. So then its just a case of cutting out each layer & following the plans on .......

Jazz wax I think are a European reissue label specialising in records outside the 50 year copyright laws in the EU. I don't know where they source their masters from but the stores in the UK are flood .......

I made my mat from a piece of cork sheet stuck to some of that new sticky plastic sheets that DIY stores to stop you tools sliding about (wish I knew what the stuffs called but Homebase are doing 1.25 .......

Did you rewire the TP16 whilst you had it all apart? And if so what did you use & was there much of an improvement? I have just fitted a TP 16 to my TD150 Mk 1 and it is a much better arm than the ori .......
