Oh man, I had all kinds of positioning hell in my dorm room last year! I ended up re-arranging the furniture about 6 times in the 8 months I lived there. I had the stereo on top of my drawers for most .......

Just wondering...is the tonearm damped? I know that the main bearing cup for the spindle is, but not sure if the tonearm is. Also, what kind of bearing oil does it use? Will the JA Mitchell bearing oi .......

I however heard a huge difference when I replaced the interconnects on my turntable. The originals were basicaly cheap radio shack grade, and I replaced them with some old Straight Wire interconnects .......

Thanks a lot! I have decided to go with the 'dek instead of the Linn. Everybody here has been a great help! Not knowing anyone with personal experience with a Systemdek made it a little hard to decide .......

Yeah...I own an Advent Model 300 Receiver. It has seperate Pre-out and Power-in that are jumpered on the back panel. The phono stage and preamp section in general are pretty darn good. Nice soundstagi .......

I would check with PartsExpress or MCM Electronics. Just make sure it's a DC fan or your tubes might pick up a 60 hz hum! .......

Maybe it's your DAC? Although I must admit, comparing the CD versus the LP of "La Pistola y El Corazon" by Los Lobos makes everyone I know a believer in analogue. There is definitely better bass bloom .......

That is a good question that I would like to know the answer to. I'm guessing that as long as it's an analogue tuner, it should work fine. I've seen some european tuners that don't pick up anything ab .......

If you series connect two speakers, generally the results are that there is less bass slam, less speed overall, and less dynamics, but from my experience, it's most noticable in the bass. As far as a .......

It's not quite that simple. You will get the resistance at DC, but your amp is not driving DC into the speakers, it is driving AC into them. I have 8 ohm speakers, but on a multimeter, they measure 3. .......
