My centre wire is teflon coated and the braid is on the outsie of that between it and the outer jacket. MiKe .......

Hi Mike Use your pre-outs from the Marantz to A4 of the I5. On the I5 you have to press and hold the mute button to put it in bypass mode. I have been using my I5 for 2 years like this with no problen .......

Well I can't really say but the Monolithic is twice the price. It,s $1000.00 Can. with the power supply upgrade. So for the money the ASL is a great deal imho. Your mileage may vary. Good luck in your .......

I think Grado gets a bad rap around here. If you spend time with them you can eliminate most all of the hum. I even had a Gold on my old Technics sl-1900 and had no hum. This TT was even a Direct Driv .......

I'm using a Grado Gold MM 5mv cartridge. It's dead silent, very impressed. Even stick my ear next to the tweeter and it's silent. Now this is a brand new unit and is not broken in yet so hopefully it .......

I have the MMF5 which adjustment for VTA is the same I think. Look at the base of the rear of the tonearm, there should be two small allen screws. Loosen them and adjust the arm up and down as needed. .......

My Goldring 1012 was dragging on my mmf5 when I got it it required a Azimut adjustment to correct this,it's fine now and as I said in review below mine had to be dialed in extensively. MiKe ::: TOPIC .......

I just set my new MMF5 up last week and I had the same problem as you. It was the connections at the cart. Fixed them and it is dead quit now. Check your cart connections if your lucky like I was that .......

When I power up I turn the sources on first then the amp last. I always power down my sources first so there is no chance of this happening. The last thing to shut off is the amp. I am not familiar wi .......
