I found that in my system 500 ohms or a bit more sounds best to me. I also have the Soundsmith phono preamp which makes experimenting with loading values very easy. .......

I use a Soundsmith Zephyr Star MIMC with great results. Very satisfied with the sound of this cartridge on the JMW arm. Goes for 2K but I think Music Direct has them for 1499.00 with any trade-in. ::: .......

I bought home a new batch of jazz records from my friend today. Had to have this album when I saw the cover. This record is volume 8(Big Bands) of a Folkways series on jazz done in the early 1960's .......

I upgraded to a Rogue Audio Stealth Magnum with good results. The Magnum is a hot-rod version of the stock Stealth. Not a whole lot difference in price(around 250) between the P-75 and the Stealth but .......

That is a great album. I have two copies of this lp; one from my college days in the late 70's and a later one I found that is in better shape. Still the only Al Stewart album I really care for. ::: T .......
