Bryston 4B3 Have to say, the Odyssey Sratos Extreme was also nice if you like a smooth sound. However it lacked the pace, resoulution and grip of the Cubed series. The Cubed with the EAR Yohshino Pre .......

Tonight as a test I put some Mogami 2549 very low cap IC in between the DAC and PRE & 4B3. The effect was extremely noticeable & actually showed the clinical nature of the ESS SD architecure of my DAC .......

Can not speak for the 4b, but the 4b3 is a perfect match with the Magnepans. If you do not beleive me, you will find 2 of the profesional evaluators for Fairaudio.de (Germany) use them in their refere .......

Yes. Bryston. The cubed series with the magnepans are a perfect match. Even better if you have a nice tube pre. Mine is the EAR Yoshino 868. But yes, Bridging the smaller Brystons and running them as .......

OP, I listen to the 1.7 & my experiments with Class D were unsatisfactory. If I were in your situation, I would consider bridging the 3b3 or the 2.5 B3. I think they come in at 35 & 25 Lbs. A little .......

This. They rate a lot of stuff well that sounds like crap, thin and ughhhhh. SINAD is not the end all, be all. Yes Tubes add noise, and this noise is simply beautiful as one example. .......

Thousands of hours listening to my 1.7 and never once have heard anything close to a "plastic" sound. I can only imagine that would occur if the panel was damaged in some way. I think the one of the b .......

+1 on the Odyssey Stratos. I drove my 1.7 with one before I purchased a new Bryston 4B3. Keeping my Stratos and sending it in for upgrades. I will use it for a second system. It doesn't break a sweat .......

I am running a Freya + with Bryston 4B3 & Magnepans. Dead Silent and exceptional sound quality. Can not imagine parting with it and feel like it is worth 3x the price. .......
