The amp is a Pignose Hog 30. It comes with an 8" woofer in it. I have not received it yet, so I don't know if it is a 4 ohm or 8 ohm. I bought it from a second hand store in St. Paul for $50 and it sh .......

Harman Kardon 430, 630, 730, 930. They can be had for less than your proce range. I use a 430 with a Thorens turntable and Heathkit speakers. Less than $100 including new stylus! Very nice for a cheap .......

I have an Onkyo TX-8210 and a Denon DRA-295. The Onkyo is a good piece for the $180 or so I gave for it several years ago, but the Denon for $250 is a better deal. The bass on the Onkyo is muddy compa .......

If so, turn it off and see if you at least get white noise through the preamp. That way you would know it is interference from the CDP and not something wrong with your preamp. CDPs put out lots of na .......

They have a 10" or so woofer and two mid/high drivers that are mounted in a plastic type inset that points one up and one down. They do not have a super tweeter though. They have a weird connection in .......

My NS500V took a LONG time to burn in. You have to burn in redbook and SACD seperately. Listen to several SACDs prior to judging the format! McCracken .......

The bottom plate should come off and you can take a look at the bottom of the caps from there. Trying to loosen the bands and pull the caps up to look at them won't work, as the caps are connected wit .......

I have the two import double CDs and the "Best of" CD. The "Best of" was remastered and sounds better than the imports, but it doesn't have a few of the songs I like. The imports just aren't very good .......

I ordered an AMC CD8B. Most of the information I saw about the unit never mentioned the fact that it has dual DACs in it. Supposedly it does though. How much does this really help? If the DAC's are id .......

My cable company has digital service. I got the box(es) and then learned that all of the channels I used to get in analog are *still* analog. Therefore, the digital out is only useful on the additiona .......
