Or would ceiling coverage at the front half of an 18' room be adequate? For some reason, I don't think this would work if the seating area is further back from this area. .......

I am considering purchasing something to eliminate slap echo in the front of my room and would only require about 4 2'x4' pieces to do this. I have 6 JR panels near the back and bass traps in the fron .......

That's almost exactly the size of the room i'm in. Except mine is 18' long. It's pretty good minus the big 50-60HZ null at about 14' from the front wall. Good boost in the 20-40hz range at about 15' t .......

Do these things really work? I am interested as they seem quite easy to build. My wife and everyone else who ventures into my room already think i'm crazy and i'm afraid this will push them to the lim .......

In that case, I've got no hope! I guess i'll leave the seating position where it is. I can't move it forward any more because it will block a doorway, and further back will hurt the surround sound. .......

What choices do we have when determining listening position? My seating position is currenlty located on the edge of a 60hz - 70hz null. But it is also a good seating position to hear 20hz - 50hz. If .......

As Richard stated it looks pretty silly having your sub raised 4' off the floor. I'm going throught this right now too. Raising it to the null fixed the problem but only created another. Now i'm tryin .......

Ethan, my room is 11'w x 18'l x 7'h. I'm thinking of building the panel traps you describe on the bottom half of the front wall behind the speakers. I can't go top to bottom due to a large window, but .......

Yeah, that's probably the case. Not alot of live playing going on there. Mostly digital studio clicking. Still some good tight sounds though. And great songs. .......

Maybe someone with a little more experience can help me with this one. I've got a few questions regarding the use of my AVR(JVC 8030). It's OVERated @130W per channel, but only the fronts are 20hz - 2 .......

Hey thanks for the link! I punched in my numbers and it gives the indication that my room falls to -15dBb between 40Hz - 110Hz climbs up to nearly 0db then has a major null at 200Hz(-22dB. What should .......

I wasn't expecting the panels I've just made to do anything except releive some of the slap echo as described in my previous post. For the LF, I will be building the ASC tube type as described ala JR. .......

I have been reading everything I can find. The thing that throws me is all the numbers. Thanks for your help anyways. The panels I made are 2'x4' 6" insulation framed by 1"x3". Then wrapped in poly b .......
