I use the Hagerman Frycleaner to break in all my cords. Every few months I run the Frycleaner over night. It improves the sound. .......

Look at Discovery rewire service in the Asylum Trader under Tonearms. He rewired a Schroeder arm for me. The arm sounded better than the original wire. .......

I used the method discribed by Doug Deacon, using a toothpic with a piece of Magic Eraser attached, on a Shilabe cartridge. I had to retip after about 500 hours. I log the hours of use on my cartridge .......

Try shorting your unused inputs on your preamp. If you have some old shielded interconnects, these will work. .......

Keep the spikes you have, put house jacks under the floor in the area of the speakers. I had the same problem, this solution made the best result. .......

The quality is very good and I found these easy to solder to, depending of course, on your soldering skills. I don't know what MIT uses but I have used Valab Rhodium banana plugs and Carbon Rodium AC .......

I am using the Miyajima Shilabe that uses the Shibata stylus. With the bottom of the cartridge parallal to the record, the stylus appears to be leaning forward. This is very close to the best sound I .......

I had the SMMC1 on a basis Vector arm with excellent results, 9Hz resonance. I replaced it with the SMMC1 mono version that sounds the same. I have 2 arms. The SMMC1 also comes in a medium complience .......

I got deeper bass and better detail, however the VTA was not accurate before. I think the best feature is getting pin point VTA adjustment. I can dial in a vocal while listening. .......

Just build the interconnect as described by Chris, solder the the two silver wires to #2 (positive) and #3(negitive) of the XLR connectors. Spiral a magnet wire, the same gage as the silver wires used .......

I used Elmer's Probond Polyurethane Glue, it bonds in 4 hours. Spred thin to cover the whole surface with a wide putty knife and use clamps or weights. It's an excellent bond. .......

Onlinemetals is the only site I found that carries 6061T6 aluminum, the T6 is the hardness. Most aluminum is soft anealled, which is not appropriate for this application. Marty .......
