The interconnects are the original RCA's that came from the manufacturer I believe. The look period correct. Not sure if shielded or not. They are connected straight to the phono inputs on the preampl .......

This JBL project is now complete with new JBL correct grill cloth and badges. Turned out very nice. These sound great with a Bedini BA801 amp and GAS Thoebe preamp. The JBL sound is just fun! ::: .......

I would suggest Boston Acoustics A-400's or A200's. They are better than most think. I owned A400's and A150's and both were excellent especially the A400's. They perform nicely against a wall and are .......

My experience is very different than what has been written here. The McIntosh XR series was manufactured to be used in conjunction with an equalizer that McIntosh produced. I owned XR5's for 20 years .......

I'll jump in on the AR3a's. I grew up with them and didn't like them becuase I didn't think they sounded good with rock n roll. This was in the early-mid 70's. We were powering them with a Sony STR 60 .......

Took this unit to Terry DeWick and he diagnosed it with a blown channel . . . "probably a transistor" he said. We both decided that given the cost of the part and his time it probably wasn't worth fix .......

You know, I don't hear relays kicking in. The kr6600 has jumpers on the back but their for external processors and not a "true" main in pre-out (at least as I understand it). I did try my sons Beats P .......

I "found" a Kenwood KR6600 and Technics SL1300 ($40) almost by accident late last week. I went after some CL speakers but ended up with some electronics. Both pieces, although "saw" dusty, cleaned up .......

Yes, a little. They have the Dayton Caps from Vintage AR and new pots. The pots in my opinion made the biggest difference. They are just clear. .......

My understanding is that there were quite a few "hands" in the Rectilinear Corporation back in the late sixties including Dahlquist and Saul Marantz. Who knows for sure. I can only say mine have been .......

No it's the SA8004 sacd player. It's awesome and accepts a computer feed to play downloaded files. But's it's not the media player, wish it was. .......

After much trial and error I have determined that the speakers are fine. The problem seems to be in my new (bought of ebay) Marantz SA8004 cd player. The left channel has distortion. The old Denon 390 .......
