Sounds to me that these would behave similar to the Beveridge design. Those worked well (reportedly - I've never had the pleasure of an audition) when placed opposite each other on (ie, touching) the .......

I got interested in audio exciters, basically speaker coils without the cones. Inmate Ziggy posted his experiments with these back in 2009. They come with fast acting adhesive to stick on .......

Sorry for being late to the party, but this is reminiscent of my First Reflection Trap (FRT) experiments which made a small 11 foot square listening area sound pretty amazing with my Magnestand .......

BTW, when I said "length might be an issue", the longer you make MagWire the higher the impedance the cable presents in series with the speaker to the power amp, which reduces effective wattage. Might .......

One other thing to consider: I have my Gunned MMGs in an exterior shed. It is climate controlled, which means electric baseboard heat in the winter and a window unit A/C in summer. The heat in winter .......

X2. I listen nearfield (seated 5'-6" away from the panels, which are spaced about 6' inner edge to inner edge). With care, the results can be pretty spectacular, especially for stuff like jazz combos .......

FWIW, I've never gotten panel flap. I also got my MMGs "Gunned" (Magnestand mod) before I got my second Apt-1 power amplifier which allowed for me to use these as mono blocks for the first time, going .......

Yeah, Behringer does have a bad rap. MY DEQ2496 has been a trooper, though - no issues after owning it over four years. Since the street price is about $320, that works out to $80/year for near sonic .......

Another thought: due to the distance squared rule, it takes a LOT less amplifier power to achieve 90 dB average volume 5 feet away than it does 10+ feet away. So my amps don't have to be as beefy. Jus .......

When I first got my MMGs used, they came with a pair of Sound Anchor stands. They worked great at raising the MMGs to ear level and standing them up straight. After a year, I got them modded by Peter .......
