I have the Soundsmith SMMC2 model (~580) which is the entry level for the ruby cantilever. While I'm sure that the upper tier cartridges are even better, this one makes VERY nice music. .......

with a good headamp. Check out the WooAudio 3, 3+ or 6; $470-$580 in stock configuration. Of course I had to spend over $1K for the maxed version of the WA6, but that's not necessary for a great sound .......

Not the quietest vinyl but not particularly objectionable. There are some fine performances in this set, and some mediocre - not surprising for a set of this magnitude. Sound quality ranges from fair .......
