Easy to see why fe208esr did not load this cabinet properly. Tom you need to think of a loudspeaker as a whole fullranges are not a universal design that can be used in any cabinet. Its not the driver .......

I think many expect too much from a huge compromise. Full ranges are at there best in proper cabinets these are mostly very large the transducers doing allot and should not be a place for budget co .......

No beaming issues. Large difference in sound quality between fostex at different price points and a t500amk2 would be overkill with the 32b. Not hard to integrate the smaller the horn the easier it be .......

I prefer the 9448 over the early RCA FC. Enjoy the RCA Radial but the diffusion of the RCA multicells is very pleasant I've had folks in the audio industry non horn guys that were greatly impressed by .......

Not true a OB has lots of issues with coloration and vibration pooling on baffles edge toss in baffle size relating to low frequency extension thus needing extremely thick large well supported baffles .......

Have to agree Most DIYers do not truly understand how to set up lowthers fostex and others fullrange in BLHs and I've heard many of those and they do sound poor but if done right a viable loudspeaker .......

Means drivers not loading cab properly a BLH 1/2 that size with fostex fe208e sigma strong to 40hz.. So I would suggest selling off your Sachiko. And building a cabinet that matches your driver choice .......

Jeff makes mostly 45 SET amplifiers and of those I've owned at least 4 they have a very full detailed near real sounding midrange but at only 2 watts if lucky not a lot of bass drive and a bit rolled .......

I had multiple RCA LC 1A I searched for years to try to find a pair that matched in spec and were not in need of restoration. I gave up after 6 years sold the others kept my best and made one heck .......

Informations accurate. Fully versed on what's available in the marketplace like SVS etc. Never mentioned tower speakers but bass towers with multiple drivers is what I refered too. So I end with re .......

If not oil away if plastic coat over veneer oiling can cause veneers to separate since oil can loosen adhesive. .......

My RCA horns are about 110db so noise can be a issue but after running in the LM and adjusting hum pots the hum is very low in level and not a issue. They inc a different metal tube cage I prefer i .......

I owned 2 JH amps compared them to quite a few others. They had great midrange but as mentioned weak bloated bass below 40hz and rolled off treble I had no noise issues on 106db horns. I did keep one .......

Will restrict off axis response will add coloration since K baffle vibrates much but the Karlson has a nice reverby type of sound and projects well. I myself would not use a 604b in one with karlson f .......

Needles are easily available and cheap I have to change mine out every 10 plays or so. If worried about damage just buy victor needles if its a victrola I never had issues with needles. Takes a few se .......

Yes and no depends on manufacturer but most loudspeakers are designed with packing and shipping costs in mind. And the more mass marketed how many fit per pallet and weight are major consideration etc .......

Spent 4 hours trying to make it work with my newer computer all other DACS work fine just the m51 NAD driver won't work with m51. Contacting NAD is about as bad as contacting ATT. Have read about some .......

Why I prefer to design cabinet for driver used so I do not end up with such issues the universal BLH doesn't exist. Your cabinet is not a match to your drivers. Its a kluge works with all but poorl .......

I've heard it its a fine sound if you like a 2 way dynamic just a bit rolled off on top and that's not a bad compromise at all. If you would have at least looked into it you would see its using a 1 1 .......

Helmets depend a bit on head shape. Also type of motorcycle contributes greatly to SPL and wind noise consider a more aerodynamic MC. Versys like a barn-door for airflow. .......

I use but networks cost about $1600, images very well has low coloration. is easy to integrate to bass- mid bass since low crossover point. Allows for very close seating distances since covers 300-25k .......

Do not see a issue with its 1980 Janka rating. Also keep in mind these are carved out of solid wood and are massive in all ways the vibration of a wee diaphragm would have little effect on baffles .......

I use with 2in compression drivers. I have 1 pair with a JBL 2440 beryllium. And with my RCA 9448 on top of my Shearer horns. Lots of quality midrange drivers about the EV DH1a is a heck of a driver I .......

Used about 50 of them. Works great in large ported cabinets or in front horns. Has a very detailed sound to bass lots of slam for a 12in and its 95db hard to beat. I use in my 90d speaker. ::: TOPI .......

I enjoy TP1 with pm4a or pm4a in front horns like Oris 250 Azura 240 etc. With t900a tweeter and a proper bass horn. The 150hz horn limits integration and causes more horn effect. YMMV. .......

A do agree some of the Altec and other horns can have a bit of coloration but the better models its greatly reduced. And they also benefit from tweeters. The addition of a t900a made my RCA Shearer co .......

I collect both, Bozaks are cool but far more fragile harder to source parts and to me a bit less open and dynamic. They do not smoke the old horns since so many variables and models. I think you great .......

The 515 would work in a OB but bass would be stronger if you put woofer in ported box you could buy a pre made ported cabinet for 15in and attach the OB with PHY to top or front. Your idea of 1in JBL .......

The PHY driver is best used in a open baffle or semi OB cabinet. What I would do is use the PHY and 515 in a OB cabinet or a OB for PHY and a ported cabinet for altec. A open baffle is easy to cons .......
