I really like the Grado sound, but Grados might be a bit too compliant for this tables arm, I thought it a bit too wooly in the bass, and the highs lost there sizzle with my Grado Blue/8MZ. Can't find .......

Just a small tweak lol. Different sizes and shapes of lead sinkers sealed in with plastidip really helped to further deaden the Rock's plinth against acoustic feedback. Biggest drawback, lift .......

Run all of my mains full range. The sub in my music rm has an active high pass also, I've used it with good results, and it does allow the mains to play louder, but I still prefer the amps fed directl .......

Similar issues when moving to our new place, though not to the same extreme. Bass traps can definitely help, some even have very high WAF lol, like these fake plants strategically placed around the .......

That's what our ears are for. Every component change "will" cause a change in output, but measuring the difference in cone motion would be useless information as far as if the change was good or bad, .......

Well, the G8-LC is the replacement stylus only for the F8-C cartridge so not sure what you're wanting to hear. Was hoping someone here with a bit more experience and or knowledge with Grace cartridges .......

Not sure if something like this is available for your situation but it works here in the states. You plug the preamp into the master outlet, the power amp into one of the master controlled outlets .......

The line output from your typical CD player is only on a magnitude of about 1000X that of your typical mm phono cartridge so ya it's quite possible it's been damaged. Martin .......

Even then, to have enough gain for vinyl there's always more than enough for sources like CD, tape, etc. Often with lower output MM carts I could use a bit more gain, CD not so much. .......

The Modulus speaker measured +/- 1.5db 180hz-30khz, when reviewed back in 1990 so I guess it's at least flat within these parameters. The entire system was rated by the manufacturer to be +/- 2d .......

You are correct. It's basically the same as using two mono block amps with all of the benefits that implies, but instead using two stereo amps with one channel driving the woofer and the other channel .......

You're right, just a bit bass shy below 25hz with only two 12" subs, thankfully this allows me to turn the volume knob past the 3:00 point without any issues. And you're right, the AR's cast aluminum .......

Rythmik is also my go to recommendation for high SQ, Dayton for cost savings. But don't let that lead you to believe the Daytons aren't great subs, when paired in stereo they can be quite impressiv .......

Yes it does reference the code, but it's wrong. The far right box in the picture is connected with a compression connector, this is not considered an acceptable bond by the NEC, it must be a set screw .......

Tried a number of different high compliant carts, my NOS Pickering XV-15 1200E/D1200 didn't play nice with the Grace arm, and the 625e wasn't any better. My Grado G1/8MZ V was an ok filler after the m .......

The arm is only as good as the cart mounted on it. That said, the arm worked wonderfully with my Grado wood body, but it really came into its own with the NOS Grace-F8L'10 installed. Something special .......

Been a huge fan since the early 70's, have close to a dozen of his records, some needing replacing, but this is one I don't have. I've almost pulled the trigger a few times but as I have so much of hi .......

Well, it finally arrived from the UK. Their first album and definitely more in the vein of classic rock ala Led Zeppelin than their later releases. .......

The crack most likely happened from someone over tightening it in the past. I feel your pain and wish you the best of luck with the repair. Martin .......

After some lengthy research I concluded the f8 was a better match for the G707 arm than the f9. The f9 is basically an improved f8, but those improvements were made to accommodate higher mass arms. Th .......

On a side note, have you had the opportunity to try a Grace cartridge on your arm? I'm finding real synergy with a Grace F8-L10' on my Grace G707 / Kenwood KD500. .......
