It is in Verdi user manual from dCS website version 1.2 page 33 describing AES/EBU having downsampled 16/44 of SACD and also page 34 describing SDIF ports having the same low rez SACD signal. As for t .......

Yes, I have come to the same conclusion by trial and error. I would have been happy with downsampled 16/44 from SACDs but it requires software version 1.2 when the downsampling was added. Mine is V 1. .......

Agree with Ray. To add a bit of additional info, the low inductance Studer heads are found in the later A80VU Mk IIs with around 10mH. A80VU Mk I had ~500mH repro head inducance. The A80RC Mk II's rep .......

You should try contacting Velodyne directly. Their Website lists many local places but I sent mine few years ago directly to factory for repair and upgrade with very good results. .......

Nice looking Ampex you have. If you can find a two track headblock for your Ampex, you wouldn't need the Studer A810 other than A810 in portable configuration, it is easier to place and move it around .......

A variation of DCD-1650 CD players are still offered by Denon. I have a DCD-3000 that is a model above the 1650 from 90's and it out performs most of other modern Red Book CD players out there, IMHO. .......

A good matching setup. I only heard the SCD-1 at a dealer listening room so I can't comment but the rest I have first hand experience. I believe Bryston makes very fine amps but the BP-25 preamp isn't .......

DV-434 is one of the best value, IMHO. Our Costco in Seattle area has it for $156. The newer DV-444 is a good buy also. Both 434 and 444 make good transports too if you have an outboard 96/24 DAC. ::: .......
