I used a pair of Sennheiser 580s for about 12 years before making a jump on upgrading headphones. Tried a pair of HE-500's driven by a Headroom Desktop amp, and wasn't too impressed. For me, the gains .......

Not sure what your budget is, but honestly I'd just spring for a used Illuminati D-60. They're not much $$ when used in short 1m length. They make a big difference, and the D-60 would be among the bes .......

Thanks Stephen! I ended up getting the preferred 7189 (6P14P-EV) from Tubestore.com, but kept my current RFT input tubes, for the VTLs. We'll see. I did take Jack's advice but still have the upgrade i .......

Did their tube stuff really sound that bad? I remember the AudioPrism tube amps to be quite highly regarded in the tube world, and I personally love the Debut. .......

You know, the first thing I noticed was that I had to turn up the volume compared to my normal cables. The overall macro did seem to be truncated at a certain point, but then again, my amps do not ove .......

I suspect your question is on a much lighter-level than my answer, but regardless, it's still food for thought: It really depends at where you draw your line as to the "best medium" -- is your purpose .......

Dude, I shot my first roll of 120 last month, with a Hassl'500 that I inherited. It was in focus, but then the store gave me back my reprints, IT LOOKED GRAINIER THAN MY 35MM!!!! What gives?!?!?! Hope .......

I love this 100 slide film... I see that JJ prefers his pro Velvias, etc., but sometimes I have found that Sensia can give me the saturation that even Provia 100F can't. Plus, it's extremely sharp. An .......
