I'm glad you liked the Diyumas. Parting from that concept, I did this one for my TT and CD player. Although you might feel unsecure with the design, it's completely secure. This eliminated the feed .......

My SCD-C2000ES has 4 years now and it's in great shape. The case is metalized and not plastic. I use a MHDT Constantine as y Dac feded by the 2000ESm hich is a nice transport. You can use it as a 2 ch .......

Even though, I know Dan Wright have modified two or three of them with good results. Unfortunatelly, it wasn't a productive offering and stopped doing it. TRL still do their modifying stuff to the SCD .......

Haven't heard the Audio Opus , but I auditioned the Shigaraki 4715 at GC's home and he brought his DAC to my system too. My player is a mighty Sony SCD-C2000ES which is an entry unit with good reviews .......

As you mentioned, his best bet ( and anyone else) is to see, hear and ask around. Only then he will find what he is missing. Budget is a big problem considering what he is trying to achive ( TT/PS/CR .......

talk to the people from Kabusa, ask for the upgrades available, try to hear some of the modified units, buy a better phono stage and cartridge and save a few bucks for LP's? I'm not related to them or .......

they are just BMG in disguise!!! The only catch (if ever) is that you will be charged monthly for one CD, buy it or not. That's why they reccomend you to pick sone "witch" tittles so they send one and .......

My unit is 13 month old and is working really nice. No problems at all ( knock, knock...just in case!!! ). I noticed my unit responded well to some tweaks, like roller bearings under it. Got more air .......

the Sony SCD-2000ES is a very good unit for the money and can be have for as low as $249.00 (new). If you need DVD capabilities this unit don't offer it. On the hand, it's a dedicated SACD/CD unit. My .......

The McCormacks react to power cords in different ways. Maybe this is causing the lack of bass on your unit, althought it shouldn't be. I own a DNA-125 and I'm using a RLD-1 with it. Good luck, Jose. : .......

Oade Bros. It is a 5 disc CD/SACD unit with no video capabilities. If you DVD, you should check other units from Sony, Denon, Pioneer and Toshiba. The 2000ES is a fantastic player fro both formats and .......

Is your player a SD-3950 or SD-3960? Vinnies mods provide a substitute for C-825 which it happens to be inside the 3950 but missing in the 3960. The 3950 has 12 electrolitic caps and the 3960 11 caps. .......

Specially if your transport is a Parasound unit. I found that the bearings alone ( under a Parsound player ) makes a huge difference. That was using my Diyumas which are a simple device using bearings .......

It is a mixed bag: ..with some LP's the sound is very good, better than some cd's ..on occasions it gets congested and confusing ..with some LP's the sound is very fuzzy and you don't understand a .......

You can set the space between shelves based on your needs , ie. a 6" amplifier required about 9" or more for ventilation while a 2.75" equipment will do okay with 5". You just roll the nut up or down, .......
