Just got a USB Microscope and looked at my Koetsu Rosewood Signature stylus. From all I've read, flat spots on the stylus mean bad news. if so, this is really bad news......Time for a rebuild? ::: .......

The bounce on my Gyro SE has been out of synch. Lots of side to side wallow. I revisited the archives here and reset it last night. I also dressed the phono cable from my Morch DP6 better, suspending .......

Skip You can get 9/44's from a number of sources. I used a genuine Philips mechanism I bought off the web. Last week I bought another 2 from www.grandata.co.uk which arrived yesterday. They are chines .......

Interesting - do you mean the back of the arm doesn't go low enough to get the arm level? I've got a 309 with a Rosewood signature and I've not noticed this. Surely there's enough adjustment by loosen .......

Answer is same as before - easy to use. For VTA, I use the business card trick. I level the arm, then wedge as many business cards as will fit into the gap between the arm pillar, the base and the top .......

Yes, you have to adjust almost everything. I use a 309 with a Lyra Clavis dc, and also have a Koetsu Rosewood Signature. When swapping them over, the overhang was way out and the whole arm had to be s .......

Sorry, I looked at my HFS69 last night. The cover says the instructions are on an insert in the sleeve....which is missing. Mind you I only paid 10p for it in a junk shop! I also have HFS81 which has .......

I have the Gyrodec SE fitted with the SME 309 arm and a Lyra Clavis DC cartridge. A bit fussy to set up the cartridge but a great sounding combination. John .......

I use the Earmax Pro with the Sennheiser HD 580 Precision and have no problems whatsoever. Volume has never been an issue John .......

Dave No problem with the IPA - ignore the sell by date. Maybe best to mix up fresh IPA each time with distilled water rather than to leave for it forever in the diluted state. Just dont drink it! John .......
