Those are the monster pieces of 70's Sansui. I use the AU-9500 and TU-9500 here at the office, I love the big bold sound of vintage San stuff. For contrast I also use some of the early Yamaha integrat .......

First, thank you mrotunda and Randall , you're both correct, the drivers in the gibbon Super 8 are my designs. They are built for me by two companies in Europe. Here G.W.L. is partly correct, the woof .......

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with set-up of the Super 8s. All the things you describe having tried (aside from placement changes, which are very important of course) have changed the sound .......

I agree, the OW1 is a great tweeter. i think the seas and scan-speak drivers are terrific, also the Vifa PL line drivers are great, and don't require much in the crossover to sing. .......

I think maybe the warning above about microphonics is overly harsh. I own 2 Counterpoint preamps (an SA-3000 and an SA-5000A), both stock units, and have had no trouble with microphonics. I do agree t .......
