I think I have answered your question, the VSE module is flat to around 70KHz and F3 point in the 90's. This is irrespective of whether CD or DSD. The FR of CD is limited by the sampling rate to 22.0 .......

I thought it was clear. The sampling rate is 1.4MhZ and POTENTIALLY 2.8MHz with SACD ***IF*** you can by-pass the S-TACT. But Sony does not do that. So generally speaking it is slightly above 1.4MHz .......

The PCM1792 works out no difference to PCM1796. Keep in mind most of my experience is with Yamaha CS-2000 (PCM1792) and CD-S1000 (PCM1796). What is curious is that I get the same output on both playe .......

It's a "current" DAC. You have to use that current and since the entire post-DAC circuit is replaced, well, you cannot have two I/V converters connected to the same DAC. You have to ditch the inbuilt .......

The difference has been covered elsewhere on audioasylum and the basic difference is the the DSD version is prefigured for DSD, but the PCM also has a DSD register identical to DSD but the pin config .......

The new Oppo BDP is the way to go with TFL and eliminating the 5532 opamps (and their related power supplies). The add-on tweaks are VERY cost effective, but the lower 0.85V rather than 2V outs mean .......
