I found an ad posted here locally for a Telefunken CP1, CM1 and CT1 for $125. I'm wondering if this gear is worth it - seems rather rare and I do know Telefunken is a good name. .......

Nothing wrong with having a more rigid enclosure. Think about building subwoofers for car stereos - the best boxes are made with fibreglass, which is an extremely dense/rigid material. As long as you .......

Here's my perspective from a fresh audiophile. I've been into hi-fidelity now for I would say about three months. Already I have gone through about four sets of speakers, three amplifiers and perhaps .......

Thanks for your response. In regards to the crossover, yes, I have thought about that. Unfortunately the way it is right now is there are two slapped in midranges from who knows where. One looks like .......

Personally I like the idea of matching components. You would think that because they all come from the same company they would all work better together. Of course I think the compromise however is one .......

Here is a neat speaker find! I found these sitting at Goodwill, and of course never ever heard of the brand. The foam is cracked but they still work and actually sound really good. These aren't the hi .......

This is why I always stick to companies who specialize with speakers, or at least have spent a lot of time engineering them. HK, while they make fantastic receivers, speakers are so much different tha .......

I'd have to agree with you. Unfortunately it's what came with the table and I haven't been able to invest in a better cartridge, but it would most definitely be the bottleneck of the performance of my .......

I absolutely lust after a Pioneer SX-1980 for a few reasons. Sure I could do Marantz or Sansui but the SX-1980 is a BEAST, has amazing sound, and is more available. Out of any of the monster receivers .......
