Has any one tried the SE upgrade for their BAT VK-P10? I love my non-SE version, but I'm thinking about sending it in to Victor for the upgrade. Any experiences would be great. Thanks. Jeffrey Brookly .......

Heads up to all you Sonic Youth fans -- current and lapsed. The new LP is superb. The addition of Jim O'Rourke has made a difference similar to that new phono stage you just got. Not only does O'Rourk .......

Posted by Jeffrey B. on 2002-06-01, 16:57:36 (165.247.46.233)
The VPI guy at HE2002 told me today that the three screw mounting scheme on the new JMW-9 tonearm is the same as the standard Linn. (I've never seen a Linn, so I think this description is right.) I as .......

I've had a Helikon SL running on my Rega P9/RB900 for 4 months now. I really love the clarity it offers over the Koetsu red I had on before it. However, sibilants are a problem now. They are tizzy, lo .......

Sure. I use the Ringmat system on my Rega Planar 9. It allows me to adjust the height of the record surface in various increments. It's a great way to get around the RB900's lack of VTA adjustment. Yo .......

Ken, I had Brian at the Needle Doctor check into this for me. (I have a P9 and use spacers.) But he cannot find this special washer anywhere. If you have one, where did you get it? Thanks. Jeffrey B. .......

There's a low level hum coming from my new (well, slightly used) E.A.R. MC3 step-up. Its volume changes as I experiment with the different impedance jacks, but it never goes away completely. It has p .......

Anybody else have this 2xLP set? Mine came from Glitterhouse Mailorder with one LP on lightweight vinyl and the other on 150 gram or so. Very strange. Of course, the latter sounds better. Anybody else .......

Thanks for those who responded. I've decided the best thing to do is to just experiment, and to see which position sounds best to me. What an idea! But I'd like to take this space to let you know how .......

Hi Steve, Glad another Low fan participates here. I do not think they released their first one on vinyl. Long Division and The Curtain Hits the Cast (the other two when they were on Vernon Yard) were .......
