Siegfried Linkwitz uses miniDSP units with both the LX521 4 way active speaker system and with the 2 way LXmini and 3 way LXmini+2 active systems intended for DIY builders. The LX521 started out with .......

Just a quick word about the Linkwitz LX521 speakers. The miniDSP unit acts as an active crossover for the 4 way active system. There is equalization performed in this unit, but it is only for applying .......

The Orion doesn't meet the requirement for availablity from a number of outlets. This has limited interest in reviewing the system, as well as the lack of review samples available to be shipped to int .......

The Linkwitz desgined crosover for the Pluto subs is set at 100 Hz. His crossover design is specifically tailored to integrate the subs with his main speakers, both on the Pluto and on the Orion desig .......

Exactly the same situation for me. Ordered 8 discs on the 11th. No email, no charge on my Amex. But, even when it was Telarc, I would never get an email confirmation, and the processing time was much .......

I would say less boring. This show, basically held for the benefit of end users, has a price structure that allows small manufacturers or those with unconventional product distribution models a chance .......

Not all PS3's have the fan noise problem. The 40GB version is pretty quiet. Having said that, I have never tried my PS3 as a CD player. I leave that to my Denon 3930 playing through a Benchmark DAC-1 .......

Well, my Pronto TSU 3000 allows sound with great PRaT to shine through, but only after modifications to include Bybee Purifiers on the charger unit and treating the touchscreen with an Intelligent Chi .......

Listened to this again last night after viewing your post. The dump truck recording comes through in all of their dipole glory on the Linkwitz Orion's. I can only imagine what this low frequency rumb .......

I did the same as mac. Fabricated my own bracket and replaced the crossover components with the latest values simultaneously. I agree with mac's characterization of improvements. This is a worthwhile .......

I agree. I haved the Wagner disc and the sound is excellent in both 2 ch and MC. The reading is quite good alsp. One of my favorite discs. .......

The Orions are the least fatiguing speakers I have ever owned. Multi-hour sessions usually leave me wishing I could spend even more time listening. This is based on over 2.5 years of ownership and lis .......

If the two impedences of the tweeter and woofer were truly 8 and 4 ohms throughout their frequency range (they won't be.....) then the amp would see 2.667 ohms. The formula for resistances in parallel .......

The Orion's can be built and powered for a total of about $2500 if you do build them yourself. I am using a pair of Adcom GFA-2535 amps, one for each speaker. This amp can usually be had for about $25 .......

I bought an Integra DPS-8.3 just over a year ago. It was better than my Denon DCM-370 on redbook and gave me both DVD-A and SACD capability. it also was a big improvement over my old DVD player on mov .......
