As far I know, JRiver has no support or obvious method for streaming Tidal. I wish it did. Why not just use Tidal's desktop player directly? Does it unfold MQA files when you go through JRiver? ::: TO .......

The reason some Masters show 16/44 is that is what they were recorded at. I have a friend who built a studio in his basement years ago, his 8 channel ADC/DAC has the option of 44 or 48. I'm not sure, .......

I prefer CDs played on my PS Audio transport to my DAC, to the SACD layer on my Oppo. And DSD files or PCM 24/88 and up, output to the Benchmark Dac2 HGC, over the Oppo. The Benchmark is not overly br .......

Well it was never the bee's knees in the real world, it has changed it claims, a number of times. First they had to know the ADC, and now they are doing batch conversions. Tidal is adding more titles .......

I didn't read every reply, but in your original post, you left out the PS Audio Directstream DACs, that use FPGAs and have made firmware updates available at no charge. That can't be cheap, especially .......

You can't output DSD [SACD] from a digital output to a PC without hacking the Oppo and the 83 series aren't one of those Oppos. Odds are your receiver doesn't get a DSD output from the Oppo. Can you .......

How about getting a laptop and putting Vinyl Studio on it. You could then transfer the superior files to your main computer. The way you are doing it is not giving you the best sound quality, and 24/1 .......

It would be a lot simpler to just get a good adc and go straight to your PC. You could bypass the preamp too, straight off the phono preamp. Rather than upconvert, digitizing at 24/192 or 24/96 would .......

The signal from your cartridge is the smallest, least powerful signal in your whole system. It is always best to run a short cable from cartridge to phono preamp. Most commercial cables are 1m to 1.5m .......

Depending on your budget, Ayre makes a really nice ADC. Going into the analog input on your PC won't give you good results, unless you have a high end sound card. If not, better to buy a standalone AD .......

Another vote for Vinyl Studio. I've done over 150 albums now, and the results have been good. I think your NAD, restricts you to CD quality of 16/44, which should be fine for LPs. Just use the highes .......

Because the shield is connected to the negative wire at the RCA plug end, it will be connected to the negative on the din. I never thought to see if the green wire was connected to the din. I do know .......
