Actually, the 300b that I built from Bottlehead is configurable as a 2A3 with minor changes. It's one of the reasons I chose it. I'm not sure if they offer something similar these days or not. Doc at .......

Reasonable as in affordable? Perhaps if you're into diy? If not I would look at Decware. Even Bottlehead may offer something of interest. Lots of other options out there as well .......

I've only been using Roon for a short while. I will say that upon experimenting with their device set-up I found that disabling DSP made an audible improvement in my system. Which really surprised me! .......

I have been using an HRT music streamer 2 for several years now. While it's performance is decent it is limited to 24 bit 96 kHz files. This is my only dac and I've yet to try others. This dac cost $3 .......

That does seem like a good deal. I just bought a late 2012 mini which is stock except the 8 gigs of ram. I'm new to Macs but am enjoying the differences from my Windows pc . Good luck with the new toy .......
