Is the type of resistor used for running Mark III's in triode mode important? ie. any old resistor at the right value, or does this benefit from a higher quality one. .......

I have an otherwise stock SB as well. I purchased a NOS linear supply for something like $15' online. Made the necessary wiring work to supply the SB and it sounds worlds better. Smoother top to botto .......

What I've found playing with vinyl over a number of years is that it can be integral to the records you play. I currently use a Bellari VP129 as a phono pre, and it has a rumble filter you can bypass. .......

I've not found the JJ rectifiers to be very durable. I've gone through a couple. I purchased a couple Internations from Upscale Audio. They are pretty much a direct copy of the Mullards, but far less .......

Yep....the original design worked on a 2-prong system only. I've gone to 3-prong with the ground conductor being tied to the chassis. I have to unfortunately lift this connection in order to get rid o .......

I should clarify. It's the original overall circuit except the SDS labs cap board has been included and the new triode electronics driver board using two 12ua7's are being used. I simply subbed in the .......

It's a set of Mark III's with the new triode board, the old circuit aside from also the newer power supply cap board by SDS labs. Currently V1 is a 12AU7 and V2 is a 6CG7. .......

It appears from the website that the only oil/film cap that are available and would work in the S.E.X. amp is the 2 microF value and thus only if you have the upgraded trannies and chokes? Did I miss .......

What about the 2 200ohm resistors labelled "R STOP" in the schematic as well? That would make 6 total for both channels aside from the potentiometer. .......

Are there any issues with using this upgrade without the tranny upgrade? I assume you follow the instructions for the iron enhancement without making any changes to the tranny or choke connections. Ch .......

The diagram seems a little different from the instructions I have for hard wiring to triode mode based on instructions from triode electronics. I've attached an image that explains this. Can you tell .......

I forgot to mention that tubes would need to fit into the newly manufactured category. They also happen to drive a set of ACI Sapphire XL's which have a sensitivity of 85.5db 1 watt/1 meter. Cheers. : .......
