I'm sad to report that Unclestu's fight has come to the final stage. He's been hospitalized since Thanksgiving. There's no hope for recovery, these are possibly his final days. Presently ADL is close .......

The cap looked good to me. Reforming was done until the cap could reach 450V without voltage drop across a resistor in series. Eventually, most caps I tested were good, no leaks, had to throw out only .......

You mean feeding the 12V sec 120V? So you get 1200V on the other side, going step up instead of step down? There will be two issues. 1. The Isolation of the tranny is PROBABLY not designed to take 120 .......

I beleive that I made the voice coil too tight, and it rubs slightly on the magnet. When the elmer's glue dries, it makes the paper shrink. Quite a bit. I hope with slightly larger diameter voice coil .......

I agree with you. The first good system I heard was a NAD510 CD player / 310 integrated / B&W DM302 & Van Den Hull cabling. The whole setup was under 600$, but Vivaldi`s 4 seasons left a definitive me .......
